Placido demonstrates to Maria how he would say goodbye to his love in the opera, holding her hand and singing affectionately to her. Suddenly, Placido finds himself really falling in love with her! He departs singing her name, assuring her he'll be visiting her later tonight.

The Amazing Mumford arrives to help out, but Maria turns him away, knowing his magic will end up making her quack like a duck somehow. Instead, he gives his duck (being a bird-like Placido) the voice of Maria so Luis and Placido can each have a suitable Maria. "Let Luis love the duck," Placido tells him and continues to sing to his beloved.

He recites the sponsors, and after the credits roll, he sings a goodbye note.
