SCENE 1 | Big Bird greets the viewer as he prepares for his morning exercises in the yard. Nearby, he sees Gordon setting up to practice his flute. Big Bird remembers today is the day of a recital Gordon is playing in, and he naturally feels nervous about playing in front of people for the first time. Big Bird helps Gordon briefly take his mind off the recital by inviting him to exercise along with his tape-recorded routine. |

SCENE 2 | After the workout, Nico passes by the two. He's also playing in the recital, but he's nowhere near as nervous as Gordon continues to be. Telly Monster runs in with Don Music and some Muppet musicians to help Gordon practice. Don can't manage to play Gordon's piece on the piano and feels frustrated. Gordon tries out a simple thing they can do - he plays a few notes on the flute, and Don repeats them back on piano. Soon, Don gets into the swing of things and the entire group breaks out into a jam session. |

SCENE 3 | Bob's apartment is readied for the recital, of which Gordon is the only non-child participant. As Bob begins his introduction, Oscar the Grouch and Bruno the Trashman appear at the door. Oscar has brought Fluffy to perform trumpet, as she is one of Bob's previous students. Oscar assures Bob that Fluffy hasn't been practicing any Grouch tunes, which means he won't be sticking around to hear any of it. Fluffy astounds everyone with a perfect-sounding fanfare on trumpet, as Oscar sighs, "All that talent goin' to waste." |
