David isn't sure how to sign some of the phrase either, so he consults Maria. She helps him out and he tries out the phrase on Linda to make sure it's correct. Seeing her positive response, David goes back to Bob, who signs his message to Linda. She tells him that she's just agreed to have dinner with David. Bob starts to get upset, when Maria gets the idea that they can all have dinner together (which confuses Linda when they all sign the question at once).

SCENE 5 At night, the gang returns home from dinner and hang on the 123 Sesame Street stoop. Maria invites David up to her apartment for coffee. The two try inviting Bob and Linda as well, but they're far too engrossed in conversation to hear them. They leave the new couple alone together (with Bob asking Linda for a dinner date tomorrow night) as David announces the sponsors.

CLOSING SIGNS A kid holds the Sesame Street sign, while David holds the CTW sign.
