Picture Segment Description
SCENE 1 Maria tells the audience that the recent snow on Sesame Street also brought snow to the mountains. Since she grew up in Puerto Rico where it doesn't snow, she's excited to go skiing for the first time this weekend. David greets her and notes that she seems to have everything she needs: ski boots, ski pants, parka, skis, goggles, and poles... but she's missing one thing: snow. He throws some snow at her and runs off; Maria tries to follow, but she can't run in the ski boots.

He deduces that since Big Bird doesn't have a nest in the forest, doesn't fly, and doesn't go south in the winter, he must not be a bird at all... he's a lion. Big Bird exits his nest and greets David with a ferocious roar.
