SCENE 1 Gordon plays a "what happens next" game with Reggie and Sarah, in which he points them to some clips of Buddy and Jim; the videos pause so that the kids can guess what will happen next. The first is of Buddy and a roller skate on the floor, and Jim performing a ball trick as a magician; the results are surprising.

SCENE 2 Gordon overhears a distraught Oscar, whose trash can lid went missing as he was taking his nap. Oscar refuses to get a new lid to replace his ("Without a lid, a trash can is no longer a home."), and worries about his privacy and the weather. Gordon offers to look for it, since it's round.
Film "Round": A live-action film set to a lively soundtrack shows circles in every-day life, including Coca-Cola bottle caps, moving wheels, yo-yos, bubbles, and balloons.

Cartoon "Egg Chant": A girl skips rope as a boy sits with an egg on his knee. They recite an alphabet poem together. The egg hatches and a dancing lizard emerges.

SCENE 5 Oscar has packed up his bindle and ready to move away from his trash can, when Mr. Hooper suggests that he could use a newspaper as a lid. The idea works at first and Oscar decides to take a nap, but Mr. Hooper gets distracted by the newspaper's contents and keeps pulling it off Oscar's can.

SCENE 6 Gordon, Susan, Mr. Hooper and Jennie have just about given up trying to find Oscar's lost lid, when Sam the garbage man (James Catusi) drops it off! He picked it up by mistake during his rounds, and returns it gift-wrapped. Oscar is almost ready to leave, reminiscing about what his granddaddy told him about trash cans and homes, but Oscar is happy once again to have his lid back (which he calls Lydia). He won't admit he's happy and tells everyone to scram, but he will admit that "lid" begins with L.
