Liquid Phazon

Not to be confused with concentrated Phazon.

Liquid Phazon is a semisentient puddle of Phazon, found on Norion and the G.F.S. Valhalla in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It can move across any surface, and can slightly change its shape to avoid attacks. They expel their young, Phazon Grubs, as they move for defense. Touching them in Morph Ball mode results in Samus being covered and damaged by Phazon. These puddle creatures appear immune to Missiles; hitting one with a Missile simply causes them to flinch, briefly staying idle for a second as they react with a noise. Otherwise, these puddles are vulnerable to Beam attacks and Bombs, preferably Phazon-based.

Liquid Phazon appears to be a semisentient glob of Phazon. Their young are known as Phazon Grubs, and eventually metamorph into their adult, or 'puddle' form. They exude a toxic chemical to protect themselves from predators. Contact with the substance can be deadly. They can alter their shape in a limited fashion, usually to avoid incoming attacks.
