Lieutenant Tane was a 24th century Bolian man, a security officer assigned to the USS Titan by 2381.
Biography
During the Borg Invasion of 2381, the Aventine assaulted and captured a Borg scout, attempting to secure the vinculum. Tane was assigned to Pava Ek'Noor sh'Aqabaa's squad during the boarding. After Antillea was killed by the Borg, sh'Aqabaa ordered Tane to recover her unused equipment. Despite his face frozen in an expression of shock, he removed her belt and strapped it diagonally across his chest like a bandolier.
As the security personnel were utilizing energy dampening devices, tricorders and lighting were unavailable. Thus, sh'Aqabaa's team came under friendly fire, taking heavy losses. Tane died on the biobed from cardiac arrest while being worked on by Doctor Nexa Ko Tor; Nexa recorded the time of death as 1309 Hours as dictated to Nurse L'Kem. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls)
