Linus

Linus was a Saurian individual, a Starfleet officer who was serving aboard the Federation starship USS Discovery in the year 2257. He served in the sciences division and held the rank of lieutenant junior grade.

Linus' real name might be Lss't-kel'sar. The Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Discovery (2256-2258) Campaign Guide describes the Saurian language as consisting of clicks, chirps and growls, explaining that Saurians pick a name from Federation Standard that they would like to be called. Lss't-kel'sar (Linus) is listed as one of the example names.

Biography

Early life

Linus was born on Sauria in the 23rd century. Linus's father was accepted to a human university on Earth. When his family moved to Earth, Linus's second heart synced with his first heart. When he graduated from Starfleet Academy, his third heart synced with his first and second heart. (DSC - Adventures in the 32nd Century comic: "Issue 4")

Aboard Discovery

Linus was ill when Christopher Pike came aboard to take command of Discovery and sneezed on Evan Connolly as he, Michael Burnham, Saru, Pike and Nhan rode together in a turbolift. (DSC episode: "Brother")
