Events
- A USS Farragut survey mission, and later the ship herself, are attacked by a dikironium cloud creature on Tycho IV. Some 200 crew, including Captain Stephen Garrovick, are killed. Lieutenant James T. Kirk assumes command and sets a course for the nearest starbase.[2][3][4]
- Teressa Allis, age 26, is elected as First Citizen of Merope IV. Allis still holds the position in 2267.[5]
- The USS Discovery returns from the mirror universe nine months after their victory at Pahvo.[6]
- Commander Saru leads the Discovery on a mission to Qo'noS. The mission that results in the end of the Federation-Klingon War, a cease fire between the Federation and Klingon Empire, and Saru and many of the crew members receiving the Starfleet Medal of Honor. The Discovery, en route to pick up a new commanding officer in the Vulcan system, but stop along the way to respond to a distress call from Captain Christopher Pike aboard the USS Enterprise.[7]
- Nyota Uhura begins attending Starfleet Academy.[4]
