Jolley was a 23rd century Human, a relief communications officer serving in Starfleet aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk in the 2260s and 2280.
Biography
In 2268, Kirk asked Jolley to look up outstanding warrants for Harry Mudd, and a minute later had found none, only an offer for Mudd to consult on Vulcan as a security breach expert. (TOS novel: Mudd in Your Eye)
In 2280, when sensors were unable to cut through interference, Jolly coordinated personnel assignments so some could serve as lookouts from various observation decks, triangulating any data and setting the viewscreen to those coordinates. (TOS - New Earth novel: The Flaming Arrow)
