Bargh

Bargh was a Klingon who led the Oversight Council of the Klingon Defense Force in the late 24th century. He was the brother of Dorg, the former captain of the IKS Che'Ta', and the brother of Relga, who led a Klingon fleet.

After Ma'ah, who had killed Dorg to gain command of the Che'Ta', was relieved of duty in 2381 for allowing a mutiny, Bargh abused his control of the Oversight Council to deny Ma'ah's appeal of the judgment. Ma'ah himself saw little honor in continuing to serve in Bargh's fleet.

The following year, Bargh refused Starfleet permission to investigate a quantum fissure in Klingon space, owing to his hatred of the Federation. Beckett Mariner and Brad Boimler were tasked with circumventing him, which they opted to do by helping Ma'ah regain his command via the Ritual of J'ethurgh. Bargh had no choice but to allow them to proceed, but was delighted when Ma'ah chose himself to be sacrificed for the final part of the ritual.

With some encouragement and insight from his companions, and the support of the other Council members, Ma'ah found another way by invoking the Rite of Forced Conscription on Bargh. He then defeated Bargh in single combat, thus conscripting him into his crew and allowing him to be chosen as the sacrifice. Bargh yielded and acknowledged Ma'ah's success in the ritual, yet treacherously stabbed him when his back was turned. Denouncing Bargh as a coward, Ma'ah pulled out the weapon and ran him through with it. His targ was given a new home at the serpent worm farm of Ma'ah's family. (LD: "A Farewell To Farms")

The dishonorable actions of Dorg and Bargh led to the Klingon High Council seeing their sister Relga as weak. Later that year, Relga sought revenge upon Ma'ah and Malor for the deaths of her brothers, leading her into conflict with the USS Cerritos. Relga's attempt to get revenge only led to her own death and Ma'ah being given command of her fleet. (LD: "The New Next Generation")

Bargh was voiced by Colton Dunn, who also voiced Dorg.
