Mad Pecker (マッドベッカー Maddo Pekkā) is a woodpecker Mechaniloid that is able to peck trees 20 times per second.[1][2] Maverick Mad Peckers appear as stationary enemies in Sting Chameleon's Forest Stage from Mega Man X. They attack by pecking at the trees, an attack which often releases Creepers at X.
Description
Mad Peckers have a red body and green eyes. In the original Mega Man X, they have a silver crest and a thin, blue tail, and their legs are portrayed as silver in official artwork. In Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X, their crest and tail are purple, the latter fanning out close to the end, and their legs split at the thigh, with one branch going straight to the foot and the other going out a bit to a bend and turning back to rejoin the straight branch at the ankle. The legs only had their bending part in concept artwork between the thigh and ankle. Their TEPPEN card portrays their eyes as capable of glowing, but they otherwise use their artwork design from the original game.
