Creeper (クリーパー Kurīpā) is an insect Mechaniloid enemy from Mega Man X that appears in Sting Chameleon's stage and in the final Sigma Stage, when climbing up the shaft. The reason they were created for is unknown. Creepers emerge from shafts in walls or trees, and can sometimes be spawned by Mad Peckers.
Description
Creepers have a green body with a single blank red eye with a golden rim on their front end. While concept artwork in Mega Man Maverick Hunter X portrays them as limbless wormlike creatures, sprites and official artwork for the first game give the Creeper tiny golden spike-esque legs and greyish-white (presumablly silver) spines.
Uses
In the last stage, players can use the Creepers to refill Sub Tanks for the final battle. This is done faster by using a charged Rolling Shield and sliding down where they appear.
