- "During a jump, press Special Attack button. Launch a guided arrow of light from your airborne slash attack!"
- ―In-game text, Mega Man X7
Hieijin (飛影刃 lit. "Flying Shadow Blade"), is a special technique that Zero learns after defeating Snipe Anteator in Mega Man X7. By pressing the special attack button while jumping from ground, Zero swipes his saber, flinging a small dart of energy that homes in on the nearest enemy. The projectile can pass through enemies, striking others behind it until it hits an environmental obstacle. While the projectile is still present in the screen, Zero can't perform any special techniques including Hieijin itself.
This attack is Wind Crowrang's weakness.
