The Game Gear is a handheld video game console manufactured by Sega. It was initially released on October 6, 1990 in Japan. This console primarily competed with Nintendo's Game Boy.
The Game Gear was discontinued in April 1997.
Mega Man is the only game from the franchise to be released on this console, released only in North America on 1994. There were no any other video game titles related to the Mega Man franchise released for this console.
