Front Runner (フロントランナー, Furonto Ran'nā) is a Shoulder-type cannon weapon that is available for Vile by default in the game Mega Man Maverick Hunter X. When equipped with this weapon, Vile fires a golden energy projectile from the cannon on his shoulder. By default, it shoots up at an angle, however the player can press down on the control pad to have it shoot straight forward. Pressing up will make it shoot slightly more upward than normal, but this difference is very slight.

X takes a decent amount of damage from Front Runner.

Front Runner is available from the start of the game along with two other weapons: Cherry Blast and Bumpity Boom.
