Like her mother, Marie is a medium. However, unlike her sisters, her gift presented itself through the things she was interested in or afraid of. In season three was able to watch a premium children's television channel that the family did not subscribe to, a friend of the family did for their son. In season four, she was able to cheat an eye exam to avoid wearing glasses, when she read the mind of her optometrist in order to pass her sight test.

In season five, she unknowingly used paper dolls to predict the future winning stock on the stock market, a trick her father tried to use to his advantage before she lost interest in the game that facilitated the gift.
