Sloan, named Kagamiyama (カガミヤマ) in Japan, is a recurring character in Medabots.

Description

Sloan is the number 3 (2 in the anime) member of The Screws. He doesn't talk much, but he is a friendly guy. He is obsessed with cleanliness, always keeping his clothes clean. He mainly uses Medabots with heavy armor and powerful attacks, but that move slowly.

In the games

Medarot 2 and Medabots (GBA)

As a member of the Screws, Sloan is usually seen following his boss, Samantha, alongside Spyke. In the Rubberobo Gang's hideout he protected Spyke while he hacked the base's computer.

At first he only has a Totalizer, but later he will also use two Fireflashes.

Medarot 3 and 4

Kagamiyama is usually seen following his boss. His Medarots are Rick Turtle and Brownbison.

Kagamiyama is usually seen following his boss. His Medarot is Keith Turtle.

Kagamiyama appears after the story is completed. His partner Medarot is Brownbison.

In the anime

Sloan is often seen with the Screws. His partner Medabot is Totalizer. He was one of the Medafighters that disguised as Space Medafighter X in the World Robattle Cup.

In Medabots Spirits, he lost a Robattle against Spyke, and Totalizer went missing afterwards, and Sloan asked Ikki to help find him. He also lend Totalizer's legs to Spyke, which helped him almost win a Robattle against two Kilobots.

Trivia

Kagamiyama is his surname. His given name is unknown.[1]

Sloan's cap is similar to the one used by Pokémon's Red/Blue/Green protagonist, Red. It's unknown if this was made on purpose.

Etymology

Kagamiyama (鏡山) is a Japanese sake brand. Kagami refers to the barrelhead or lid of a sake barrel, and yama means mountain.
