Synopsis for "Deus Ex Inhuman"
Before the Future Foundation saved the future, the Kree fled back to their galaxy when faced with the Mad Celestials. Hot on their tails were the Inhumans, whose leader Black Bolt sought to prevent the Supreme Intelligence from reclaiming the Kree empire. However, as the two ships were locked in battle, the future Franklin Richards suddenly teleported before them. After some peace talks, Franklin convinced Black Bolt that it was time to return home.
Back on Earth, the Human Torch has just lost an election to determine who is the leader of the Negative Zone. As Annihilus had won, Johnny and the Light Brigade prepare to return Annihilus to the Zone. However, Johnny has decided that he is going to keep the Cosmic Control Rod for safe keeping. With that, Johnny has Annihilus tossed into the Negative Zone to resume his rule. Suddenly, Blackmane detects that something is coming.
Meanwhile, aboard the Future Foundation's space station, Reed is teaching the children about the various alien races that live in the known universe. Suddenly, something obscures their view of the stars. When Reed looks at what has blocked their view, he recognizes it as Attilan and that the Inhumans have returned home. Upon their arrival, the Light Brigade return to their people. They are brought before Black Bolt, who welcomes them home.
Back aboard the Future Foundation station, Valeria and Bentley are discussing the idea of conquest when they are suddenly interrupted by Valeria's future self. She tells Bentley to leave and, after confirming the date, the older Valeria smacks her younger self over the head and tells her to delete the report she is working on. Valeria grudgingly deletes her report on conquering the Kree Empire. At that moment on Earth, the older Franklin Richards is taking his younger self to his new school. The younger Franklin is complaining about having to leave the Future Foundation to attend a normal school, but his older self convinces him that this new school will be great for him by giving him hints about the future of his classmates and soon-to-be friends.
Elsewhere, Crystal and Ronan are spending time together when suddenly they are interrupted by the arrival of Medusa -- teleported in via Lockjaw -- who tells Crystal that Black Bolt has requested she return home.

- The names of fourteen different alien races are projected in mid-air as part of the lecture that Reed Richards is giving to the Future Foundation students. Of those fourteen, only the name of the Badoon is actually spoken aloud by Reed, leaving the names of the other thirteen races to only be visually displayed.
- Thirteen of the fourteen alien races have small holograms of planets projected beside their names, but there is no hologram linked to the projection of the Nanda race's name. Accordingly, the planet Nanda does not appear in this issue.
- Thirteen of the fourteen races whose names were visually displayed during the lecture had received quarter-page entries in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe (Vol. 2) #15. Since no race named the "Kobadaks" has ever been referenced outside of this issue, that name was probably a misspelling of the race name of the Kodabaks.
- The thirteen planets whose holograms were presented during the lecture are presumed to be the homeworlds of the races to which they were linked, but only the Badoon Brotherhood's homeworld of Moord was specifically mentioned in the story.
- Eight of those thirteen planets have (so far) been depicted only in this issue. Ryas, Xanth (and New Xanth), Tamal, Moord and Elanis have made in-story appearances in other comics.
- Since the Zundamite homeworld Zundam was destroyed or rendered uninhabited when it was plundered by Terminus, it's unclear what planet was depicted in the hologram for the Zundamites. It could have been an as-yet-unnamed planet where the surviving Zundamites had resettled. Alternatively, given that that hologram seemingly changed color, from green and pale blue when first seen to a dull brown when next seen, it's possible that the first image was a historical one that depicted Zundam as it appeared before Terminus arrived, and the second image was of how Zundam appeared after Terminus had ravaged it.
- Since the Xantha homeworld Xanth was destroyed when it was struck by a giant asteroid in Fantastic Four #7, the hologram presumably depicts their current home planet, New Xanth.
- The Fonabi were created by the Official Handbook staff to be the race to which the being who called himself "Terminus" in Avengers #257 belonged. Later retcons revealed that the "Terminus" in that issue had actually been a Deviant named Jorro who had been using a giant mecha suit to pose as and act as an agent of the real Terminus who was subsequently identified as actually being a member of the Termini race. However, before those retcons occurred, beings who looked like the OHotMU's image of a Fonabi appeared in two alien crowd scenes; a large yellow-skinned individual in the second story in Avengers Spotlight #25 and a shorter green-skinned being in Avengers: Celestial Quest #2. These two appearances, combined with the naming of the Fonabi in this issue, seem to show that the Fonabi do actually exist in the Earth-616 universe and that "Fonabi" is not just another name by which the Termini are known.
- Based on what Reed Richards said at the the beginning of his lecture, the fourteen alien races whose names appear in midair should all be "Type II civilizations that...exist within (the) Milky Way galaxy." However, some of those races do not fall into one or both of those categories. Several of the listed races are based in the Andromeda Galaxy and others lack the technology needed to be a Type II civilization (assuming that is a reference to the Kardashev scale).
- In its narration, the Supreme Intelligence mentioned how the Fist of Hala and Attilan had "chased each other from Sol to Hala Prime." This suggests that Hala Prime is an alternate name for the Pama Star System.
