Small is Under Construction
This article is under construction. Please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible!

Small, also known as Light is one of the three primary weight-classes of older Mario Kart games. This category of racers/slash karts generally have very good Acceleration and Handling, but they suffer in being bumped around by heavier Karts and a low Speed.
In most Mario Kart titles, the weight classes were usually divided into three, but some games such as Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 7 have four or even five.

Trivia!
- In Mario Kart 64, the lightweight characters actually have better Speed then all other weight classes. however, they can be spun out by just by simply being hit by a heavyweight.
- In Super Mario Kart, Peach and Yoshi are at about lightweight, while Koopa Troopa and Toad are more properly placed in Featherweight class.
- Koopa Troopa and Toad's actual group name is "The Small Guys", but judging by Mario Kart 7, this is more of a misnomer.
- Peach and Yoshi, the original Small characters, remain in this weight class the most often throughout the series, although they occasionally get bumped to medium in games with large rosters.
