Sphere Factor

Sphere Factor is a 2-vs-2 minigame which first appears in Mario Party 7 and returns in Mario Party: The Top 100.

Gameplay

The objective for both characters on each team is to cooperatively roll a giant ball (which rolls considerably faster in Mario Party: The Top 100) over to the goal. The characters have to avoid any Whomps and Monty Moles within their path and roll their ball through small mazes. There is also a bridge along the way, and if a team rolls their ball off it, they have to push it up a steep hill. Whoever gets their ball over to the goal first is the winner.

Ending

In Mario Party 7, both characters on the winning team each perform their victory animation in front of their ball, with some nearby Whomps behind them and Monty Moles popping out of the ground. If the minigame ends in a tie (which occurs in Mario Party 7 if neither side has reached the goal within five minutes), both teammates on each team perform their losing animation in front of their team's respective ball at the goal.

In Mario Party: The Top 100, there is no ending, let alone for any of the minigames in general.
