The Propellion is an enemy from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. They can be found in the Dream World version of Mushrise Park, aptly called "Dreamy Mushrise Park."

Description

Propellions are pink dragon-fly shaped monsters with greyish-white spikes for noses and yellow wings that spin around their torso to keep them aloft, not unlike an actual propeller. Their eyes are bulbous, resembling those possessed by the Dream Stone's spirit.

Behaviour

In the field, Propellions move at high altitudes, and will descend upon intruders into their territory, becoming vulnerable to a First Strike. If they fail to hit someone, they fly back up to try again.

Combat

In combat, Propellions cannot be struck by ground-based weaponry (the standard Hammer, the 3D Red Shell, the 3D Green Shell, the shockwave of the Dropchopper, and the Jet-Board Bash) due to their flight abilities. The enemy has two attacks.

  • For one attack, the Propellion will fly high and point its pointed bottom at the target, then perform a stomp attack at an angle. Since it descends at a diagonal angle, it can be dodged by jumping. Occasionally, it will fly over the target, signalled by descending at a more horizontal angle than usual. A Propellion that is performing this move can be stomped on if the target jumps with proper timing.
  • The second attack involves it twirling across the ground towards the target, who must whack it with a hammer strike to avoid damage.

The Propellion is a Level 8 monster that has 42 hit points, an attack power of 56, a defense of 46, and a speed of 22, giving 8 experience, 8 coins, and possibly a standard Star Candy (10% of drops) upon death.
