Physical description
Crackpots are octopus-like creatures which somewhat resemble an Octorok, and they wear a pot. Crackpots are featured in maroon and purple color variations, with the former wearing an orange pot while the latter wears a gray pot.
Behavior
Crackpots attack by shooting spiky balls at Wario. After this, it retreats into its pot. Maroon Crackpots only spit out one spiky ball at a time, while the purple variation spits out three at a time.
In Wario Land: Shake It!
Crackpots have a threat rating of two stars. If a Crackpot is stunned, Wario can pick it up and shake its pot, causing the Crackpot to pop out and shoot in the direction Wario is facing; this can be used to defeat other enemies.

Etymology
Crackpots have the same name as "crackpot," which describes someone who has implausible beliefs and refuses to acknowledge it as such.
