―Sheena to Rego[src]

Sheena is a female lion. She is the queen who preceded Nanda. She is the mate of Brond, with whom she has a son, Rego.

Biography

Early life

Sheena lived in the Dark Continent. At some point in her life, she became the queen of her pride through her marriage to Brond. The two had a son named Rego.[1]

Life in Brond's pride

One day, when the pride made a kill, Sheena brought a portion of the meal to Rego, who was playing with a kangaroo rat. She chided him for playing with his food and pointed out that it was a cruel behavior.[1]

Shortly afterward, the pride followed the herds north. Along the way, a young male named Mruki defied the pride's Laws of Precedence by taking the first bites from an antelope that he had killed. This caused Brond to exile him.

A year later, Brond's pride encountered a full-grown Mruki, who challenged Brond for kingship of the pride. The two battled, and Mruki emerged victorious; thus, he became the pride's new king. Fearing for her son's life, Sheena advised Rego to leave. He did as she had advised him, fleeing alongside Brond's court jester, Bobo.[2]

Personality and traits

Sheena is loving and maternal toward her son, Rego.[1] She is quite protective of him, to the point that she told him to leave the pride for his own safety.[2]
