Musk deer are a species of animal native to the Tree of Life. They are preyed upon by tigers.
History

As Queen Janna lay dying, Kiril and his herd gathered outside the Tree of Life. After the queen's passing, Makini announced her death to the crowd.
Later, Rani brought Varya and her cubs to Kiril's territory so they might live there. Kiril expressed his doubts about the situation to Rani, but she assured him that the tigers would respect the Circle of Life. At last, he relented and decreed that the tigers were welcome in his herd's territory. He then advised the family to take up residence in a nearby clearing.
That evening, Kiril's herd attended Rani's coronation.[1]
Physical characteristics
Musk deer are rather short and stocky, with thick, dark coats; powerful legs; and square heads. They have large white fangs protruding from their upper jaws.[1]
Sociocultural characteristics
Musk deer live in snowy, forested areas. They are known to be preyed upon by tigers.[1]
