―Dr. Exeter[src]

Doctor Tobias J. Exeter is a male hedgehog.

Initially, Dr. Exeter served as a professor to Timon and Pumbaa. However, when Timon failed his final exam and left Hedgehog University, Dr. Exeter kidnapped Pumbaa and revealed that he wanted to harvest his brain for an experiment. Before Dr. Exeter could succeed at his plan, Timon arrived and saved Pumbaa, after which he blew up the university.

Biography

Early life

You know, Pumbaa, my colleagues laughed at my varies. They gave me wedgies in study hall.
―Dr. Exeter[src]

Dr. Exeter was a professor at Hedgehog University, where he owned a dissection lab. He was often bullied by his colleagues when he was in study hall.[1]

Experiment on Pumbaa

PM Timon Pumbaa & Exeter2

After Pumbaa failed to catch a bee, Timon built a bug-catching machine, which went out of control and exploded. Dr. Exeter then showed up and explained why Timon's idea had not worked. He built another bug-catching machine with a satellite dish. When his machine worked, he explained to the two about his job as a professor, which made Pumbaa interested in joining him. Timon was not interested at first until Dr. Exeter accused him of being afraid to learn. In answer to Dr. Exeter's mockery, Timon made him give him some assignments to do, which Dr. Exeter did.

The next day, Dr. Exeter became Timon and Pumbaa's professor. He asked Timon if he was done with his homework, which was to write a report. The meerkat tried to make the hedgehog believe that he had written a report about boots. Dr. Exeter was not convinced and forced him to sit down. Pumbaa then read his report, which was about the New England region of North America. Dr. Exeter was impressed by Pumbaa's paper and gave him three gold stars, while he gave Timon a dunce cap for not doing his work.

PM Pumbaa & Exeter4

The next day, Dr. Exeter taught ballet to the duo. He was impressed by Pumbaa's ballet skills but not Timon's. He then gave Timon another dunce cap. The next day was Timon and Pumbaa's final exam, which was chemistry. Pumbaa passed the exam, while Timon failed, leading to Dr. Exeter expelling him. After a depressed Timon left Pumbaa, Dr. Exeter trapped the warthog in a cage and sent him to the dissection labs of Hedgehog University, as he wanted to use Pumbaa's "large brain" for his experiment.

Pumbaa and Dr. Exeter went to the laboratory. The hedgehog told Pumbaa that he was going to make his brain grow and use it to get revenge on his former colleagues for bullying him. Timon showed up, zapped Dr. Exeter and freed Pumbaa. The two tried to escape the university but ended up in a control room. Dr. Exeter showed up and warned Timon about an atomic generator. Timon then pushed the button that made the whole university explode.[1]

Physical appearance

Dr. Exeter is a short and small hedgehog. He has brown fur with a gray muzzle and black eyes. He wears a blue cap and gown with a gold tassel, a white undershirt, a black bowtie, gray pants, glasses, and black shoes.[1]

Personality and traits

Dr. Exeter is quite intelligent, as he is a professor and tutor at Hedgehog University. When Timon's invention failed to perform, Dr. Exeter figured out what was wrong and reinvented it so that it could spot and catch grubs properly. At first, Dr. Exeter was nice to Pumbaa due to his obedience, while he was mean to Timon for procrastinating on his assignments and being the class clown. After Pumbaa graduated and Timon got expelled, Dr. Exeter revealed his true colors by imprisoning Pumbaa in his laboratory.[1]
