After hearing from a group of galagos that a leopard had moved into their tree, the Lion Guard proceeded to the galagos' tree, where they saw Badili resting in its branches. While the galagos sheltered in a nearby bush, the Lion Guard confronted Badili, who tried to put up a brave front until his courage failed him and he cowered before the team. Confused, the Lion Guard questioned whether he was the ferocious leopard who had driven out the galagos, and Badili explained that he had not realized that he had been stealing their home.
The Lion Guard questioned whether Badili had territory of his own, and he admitted that he lived in Mirihi Forest, a patch of woodland in the Back Lands. He pushed on to say that he would rather share the galagos' tree than leave, but Kion insisted that Badili had to return to where he belonged. Though the leopard tried several tactics to stay in the Pride Lands, he eventually gave in and followed the Lion Guard back home to Mirihi Forest.

Along the way, Badili stalled for time, and Kion demanded to know why the leopard was not keen on returning home. Instead of answering, Badili forged ahead of the Lion Guard, returning to his tree alone. As the leopard disappeared into the brush, Kion decided to follow him and see why he was acting so strangely. Together, the Lion Guard hid in the bushes near Badili's tree and watched as he was bullied by a fellow leopard named Mapigano. Outraged by Mapigano's cruelty, the Lion Guard rushed to Badili's defense and forced Mapigano to give Badili his territory back. Mapigano begrudgingly left, and Badili thanked the Lion Guard profusely for their help.

The next day, the Lion Guard was patrolling through Embamba Canyon when they were once more met by terrified galagos. The team returned to the galagos' tree, where they found Badili once more resting in its branches. The team asked him why he had left his territory again, and an ashamed Badili confessed that Mapigano had driven him out again. At Badili's words, Kion realized that he had made a mistake in having chased off Mapigano himself. He informed his team that Badili must face Mapigano alone to show that he was not afraid and then offered to teach Badili how to stand up for himself. Though hesitant, Badili agreed to train with the Lion Guard.
At the start of his training sessions, Badili struggled to act confidently, but over time, he learned to face his fears and be strong and swift. Once fully trained, Badili was tested by the Lion Guard, who questioned him on what he would do if Mapigano challenged him. Badili passed every test, and the Lion Guard expressed their confidence in his newfound determination.

Together, the Lion Guard and Badili returned to Mirihi Forest, where the Lion Guard waited in hiding as Badili confronted Mapigano. With his newfound determination, Badili demanded that Mapigano leave his territory, but Mapigano simply sprang into attack mode, laughing when Badili's confidence began to wither. The bigger leopard continued to taunt Badili until Badili took a deep breath and declared that he was not afraid. He then dodged all of Mapigano's attacks and roared for him to leave his territory. Thoroughly intimidated, Mapigano fled, and the Lion Guard cheered for Badili's bravery.
With Mapigano gone, Badili admitted that he had been terrified, but the Lion Guard reassured him that he had looked nothing short of brave. Ono praised Badili for having stood up for himself, and Badili thanked the Lion Guard for believing in him. Kion quickly corrected him, reminding Badili that he had believed in himself. The Lion Guard then left to inform the galagos that they were clear to return home.[1]
