ZE:A J

ZE:A J (제아제이) is the third sub-unit of the boy group ZE:A. They debuted on January 21, 2015 with the Japanese single album "Roulette".

The J their group name stands for "Jewel", "Joy", "Jolly", "Justice" and "Join".^[1]

History

2015: Debut with "Roulette", "Marry Me", "君のそばに～ Love to you～", Minwoo and Taeheon's enlistments

On January 21, 2015, ZE:A's third sub-unit, consisting of Kevin, Taeheon, Heechul, Minwoo and Dongjun made their Japanese debut with the single album "Roulette".^[2]

On August 10, they made their Chinese debut with the digital single "Marry Me".^[3]

On September 2, they released their second Japanese single album "君のそばに～ Love to you～".

On September 15, Minwoo enlisted in the military for his mandatory military service and was followed by Taeheon on December 7.^[4]^[5] With this, the sub-unit was reorganized into a trio.^[6]

2016: "Just Tonight", solo releases

On April 20, 2016, the sub-unit returned as three with the Japanese single album "Just Tonight". The following day, the members started releasing the Korean version of their solo songs from "Just Tonight" one by one: Kevin with "Collection" on April 21, Heechul with "First Love" on April 26 and Dongjun with "Healing" on May 3.^[6]
