Rocket Punch

Rocket Punch (로켓펀치) is a five-member girl group under Woollim Entertainment. Originally as six, they debuted on August 7, 2019 with the mini album Pink Punch.

Career

2019: Debut with Pink Punch

On July 22, 2019 at 12AM KST, Woollim released a logo motion video showing the group's official logo. As well, Rocket Punch opened their official SNS accounts.[2] The following day, a concept film was released showing the six members for the first time.[3] On August 1, individual teasers photos were released for their debut mini album titled Pink Punch.[4] They officially debuted on August 7, 2019 with their first mini album Pink Punch and its title track "Bim Bam Bum".

2020: Red Punch, Blue Punch, lightstick

On January 26, 2020, their official Twitter account announced that Rocket Punch would be making their first comeback on February 10 with their second mini album Red Punch.[5] On this day, the group made their first comeback with Red Punch and the album's title track "Bouncy". Only a couple of days later, it was announced that Yunkyoung would be sitting out of music show performances due to a knee injury.[6]

On July 23, a teaser posted via their official Twitter account announced the group would be making a comeback on August 4 with their third mini album Blue Punch.[7] On this day, the album was released alongside its title track "Juicy".

On July 31, Woollim unveiled the group's first official lightstick.[8]

2021: "Ring Ring", Japanese debut with Bubble Up!

On May 3, 2021, a teaser was posted onto the group's social medias revealing that they would be making a comeback with their first single album, titled "Ring Ring", which is set to be released on May 17.[9]

On June 14, the group's Japanese Twitter announced their Japanese debut with the mini album Bubble Up!, which was released on August 4.[10]

2022: Yellow Punch, "Fiore", "Flash", Doki Doki Love

On February 15, 2022, a teaser posted announced the group would be making a comeback on February 28 with their fourth mini album Yellow Punch.[11]

On April 28, the group announced their Japanese single "Fiore", which was released on June 29.[12]

On August 20, a teaser posted announced Rocket Punch would release their second single album "Flash", on August 29.[13]

On September 5, the group's Japanese Twitter announced that they would release their first Japanese full-length album Doki Doki Love, on October 5.[14]

2023: "Soda", "Boom"

On July 30, members Yunkyoung, Sohee and Dahyun released the digital single "Soda" as part of the DAWN TAPE project.[15]

On August 23, it was announced that Rocket Punch will be releasing their third single album, "Boom", on September 6.[16]

2024: Juri's departure, departures from Woollim Entertainment

On May 24, 2024, Woollim Entertainment announced Juri terminated her contract and had left Rocket Punch, and they will continue as five members.[17]

On December 27, Woollim Entertainment announced that members Yeonhee, Yunkyoung, Sohee and Dahyun would be leaving the company on December 31 after deciding not to renew their exclusive contracts.[18]
