Kang Hyun Woo (강현우) is a South Korean trainee under Eighty6. He is a member of the upcoming Japanese project boy group MY BOYZ.
He is best known for being a contestant on the survival shows LOUD, Fantasy Boys, and Project 7.
Career
2021: LOUD
On May 20, 2021, he was revealed as a contestant for SBS's audition show LOUD.[1] During the tenth episode, which was aired on August 7, he was initially put on hold.[2] However, in the next episode, it was revealed that Kang was one of the trainees in the JYP group.[3] Unfortunately, he was eliminated in the sixth round.
2023: Fantasy Boys, MY BOYZ
On February 20, 2023, he was introduced as a contestant on MBC's boy group survival show Fantasy Boys.[4]
He was eliminated in the 10th episode, which aired on June 1, 2023, as he was one of the contestants with the least amount of votes.[5]
On October 2, 2023, he was revealed as a member of of the upcoming Japanese project boy group MY BOYZ.[6]
2024: Project 7
On September 26, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Project 7.[7] He ranked 10th place overall in the finale episode, thus being unable to debut with CLOSE YOUR EYES.[8]
