Jang So Jin (장소진), formerly known as Soyee (소이), is a South Korean singer and actress under Noah Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group gugudan.
Career
2016–2021: gugudan and departure from Jellyfish
On June 23, 2016, Soyee was revealed as the fifth member of gugudan.[1] The group officially debuted on June 28 with their first mini album Act.1 The Little Mermaid.
On October 19, 2017, Soyee went on hiatus from group activities to fully recover from a shoulder injury that she had suffered from since pre-debut.[2] She resumed activities in February 2018 with the release of "Act.4 Cait Sith".
On December 30, 2020, Jellyfish Entertainment announced gugudan would disband on December 31 following four years together.[3]
On March 31, 2021, Soyee, along with Mimi, individually posted to their SNS that they had departed from Jellyfish Entertainment.[4]
2022: New agency
On April 18, 2022, it was announced that she has signed an exclusive contract with Noah Entertainment. She will be promoting as an actress under her birth name Jang So-jin.[5]
