JWiiver (제이위버) was a seven-member boy group under Starweave Entertainment. They made their debut on February 17, 2022 with the mini album Jtrap.
History
Pre-debut
Originally known as JTG Boys, their official social media accounts opened on July 21, 2020.
On August 29, 2020, they revealed the first member Yeonsik (later known as Rihan), followed by Sijun on August 31, Hocheol (later known as Ryujei) on September 2, Seungju on September 14, Hyowon (later known as JuKang) on October 2, Mingyu on October 8 and Daeyun on November 28.
On May 12, 2021, it was announced that JTG Entertainment had merged with Starweave Entertainment along with the disbandment of Berry Good. Following the merger, JTG Boys disbanded and they were chosen only four members from the group who had moved to Starweave.
On February 7, 2022, under the name JWiiver, they re-introduced their first two members: Shita and Rihan.[1][2] The next day, they then introduced Ryujei and Roshin.[3][4] On February 9, they introduced GabinK (later known as Gabin) and Raots, who were previously not introduced as a part of JTG Boys.[5][6] On February 10, they introduced JuKang.[7]
2022: Debut with Jtrap
On February 17, 2022, JWiiver made their debut with the mini album Jtrap.[8]
2023: Peak Time, JuKang's enlistment
On January 17, 2023, it was confirmed that JWiiver will partake in JTBC's Peak Time. Their silhouette was revealed through a performance of "Love Scenario" by iKON.[9]
Sometimes in September 2023, it was announced that JuKang will start his military enlistment on October 30, 2023.
2024: Disbandment
On January 11, 2024, Raots announced on his Instagram story that JWiiver had disbanded.
