Hyomin

Hyomin (효민) is a South Korean singer and actress under ANDMARQ. She is a member of the girl group T-ARA and its sub-unit T-ARA N4.

She made her solo debut on July 30, 2014 with the mini album Make Up.

Career

Pre-debut

Prior to joining MBK Entertainment, Hyomin was a JYP Entertainment trainee. Following HyunA's departure from Wonder Girls, Hyomin was considered to replace her.[2] However, Yubin was eventually selected to join Wonder Girls and Hyomin left the agency soon after.

2009: Debut with T-ARA

She debuted as a member of T-ARA on July 29, 2009 with the group's first single "Lie".

Under the group's rotating leadership system, Hyomin held the role from June 14, 2011 to December 7, 2011, in which the role was then passed onto Soyeon.[3][4]

2013: Debut with T-ARA N4

On May 2, 2013, she debuted as a member of the group's sub-unit T-ARA N4 with the mini album Jeon Won Diary.

2014: Solo debut

Hyomin made her solo debut on July 30, 2014 with her first mini album Make Up.

2018: New agency

On January 3, it was announced all of the remaining members of T-ARA had left MBK Entertainment. However, the group would not be disbanding.[5]

On May 15, Sublime Artist Agency announced that Hyomin had signed on with the agency.[6] Her first solo single under the agency, "Mango", was released on September 12.

2021: Departure from Sublime Artist Agency

On May 3, Sublime Artist Agency announced that Hyomin would be departing from the agency.[7]

2023: New agency

On June 2, ANDMARQ announced that Hyomin had signed on with the agency.[8]

Personal life

Relationship

On February 11, 2025, it was reported that Hyomin would be getting married to her non-celebrity boyfriend whom works in finance on April 6 in Seoul. The next day, Hyomin stated that she will soon greet her fans with good news.[9] On March 13, Hyomin uploaded several wedding photos on her Instagram, confirming the news about her upcoming marriage but did not specify its date.[10]
