EASTSHINE (이스트샤인) is a five-member boy group under TM Entertainment. Originally as seven, they made their debut on November 16, 2023 with the mini album Embers.
History
Pre-debut
On September 22, 2022, TM Entertainment opened up Instagram account for the group revealing the first member, Sunwook,[2] followed by Dongjae and Hyun on October 4,[3] Hwanjun on October 5,[4] Kyuhyun (later known as IEL), Younggwang and Kunhee on October 6[5] and Goohyun on November 17.[6]
On June 29, 2023, they revealed, through a new group profile photo, that Goohyun, Sunwook and Hwanjun had left the group, with the additional of two new members, Donghyeon and Phoenix.[7]
On August 23, 2023, they revealed that they are preparing for their first debut album, with jacket filming.[8]
On August 31, 2023, they revealed a new member, Sumin, and in addition Donghyeon had left the group since he did not appear on jacket filming album.[9]
2023: Debut with Embers
On November 2, 2023, they revealed that they will make their debut on November 16, with the first mini album Embers.[10]
2024: "Heartthrob", Younggwang's and Karis' departure
On April 21, 2024, the group announced their first digital single, "Heartthrob", to be released on May 4.[11]
On May 30, TM Entertainment announced that Younggwang and Karis had terminated their contracts for personal reasons.[12]
2025: "Fall In Love", Luminous
On February 14, 2025, the group announced their second digital single, "Fall In Love", to be released on February 24.[13] Through its release, it was revealed that the single acts as the pre-release for their second mini album.[14]
On March 18, it was announced that EASTSHINE will be releasing their second mini album Luminous on March 27.[15]
