Celest1a (셀레스티아) was an eight-member boy group under Birdman. They made their debut on July 31, 2024 with the digital single "Panda".
The group was announced to have disbanded on November 1, 2024.[2]
History
Pre-debut
On January 4, 2024, it was revealed that SUPER JUNIOR's Eunhyuk and ONE PACT's Jongwoo will be producing a new boy group through a reality show titled K-POP HOUSE.[3]
On February 15, all seven members were introduced.[4]
On March 12, the Twitter account handle was changed to Celest1a, which was revealed to be the group's name.[5]
On March 28, Akito was announced as a member.[6] On the same day, it was also announced that Seunghyun would be taking a break from activities due to sudden hearing loss.[7]
On May 15, it was announced that Hayato would be going on hiatus to reflect after violating his contract.[8] He returned to the group sometime in July following the release of the group's profile photo.
2024: "Panda", disbandment
On July 12, 2024, Celest1a announced their debut digital single "Panda", scheduled for July 31.[9]
On September 1, it was announced Seokhee would suspend his activities with Celest1a.[10]
On November 1, it was announced on the group's official social media accounts that Celest1a had disbanded. All members posted their farewell letters the same day.[2]
