Billlie (KR: 빌리; JP: ビリー; also stylized as Bi11lie) is a seven-member girl group under MYSTIC STORY. Originally as six, they debuted on November 10, 2021 with the mini album The Billage of Perception : Chapter One.
History
Pre-debut
In February 2020, MYSTIC STORY opened an Instagram account for MYSTIC Rookies, a pre-debut team of their seven female trainees: Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Siyoon, Lee Soomin and Takeuchi Miyu, all of whom were potential members of the agency's first girl group.[1] However, Soomin and Miyu left the team in August 2020 and May 2021, respectively.[2]
On May 4, 2021, MYSTIC STORY confirmed plans to debut the group in the second half of the year.[3] On September 14, 2021, it was revealed that they would debut in November.[4]
On September 27, 2021, a series of dance covers were started in partnership with 1MILLION Dance Studio, the first dance cover was of Beyoncé's "Diva" and performed by Moon Sua, Tsuki and Siyoon.[5] On October 3, 2021, a cover of Cardi B's "Up" was published, now being performed by Suhyeon, Haram and new member Haruna; officially revealing her as their sixth and final member.[6] On October 10, 2021, a cover of Ashnikko's "Slumber Party" was released, this time performed by the entire group.[7]
2021: Debut with The Billage of Perception : Chapter One, addition of Sheon and "The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Snowy Night"

On October 11, 2021, it was announced that this group would be called "Billlie" and include the previously revealed trainees Moon Sua, Suhyeon, Haram, Tsuki, Siyoon and Haruna.[8]
On October 28, a fan song titled "Flowerld" was released on the group's YouTube channel.[9] It was later confirmed that the track will be featured on the group's debut album.[10] It was also announced that the group will debut on November 10 with their first mini album The Billage of Perception : Chapter One.[11]
On October 30, concept photos of the group and members for their debut mini album were revealed, starting with individual photos of Haram, Tsuki and Haruna, followed by photos of Moon Sua, Siyoon and Suhyeon and a group photo a few hours later.[12][13][14]

On November 19, MYSTIC STORY announced that former Girls Planet 999 contestant Kim Suyeon would be joining Billlie under the stage name Sheon.[15]
On December 14, Billlie released the digital single "The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Snowy Night".[16] This release marked the first comeback with member Sheon participating.
2022: The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter One, "Track by Yoon: Patbingsu", The Billage of Perception : Chapter Two

On January 27, 2022, MYSTIC STORY confirmed reports that Billlie is preparing for a comeback, slated for a late-February release.[17] On February 11, a teaser poster was released, revealing that they would be releasing their second mini album The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter One on February 23.[18]
On March 1, it was announced that Billlie would be releasing an OST album, The Collective Soul and Unconscious: Chapter One Original Soundtrack from "What is your B?", on the same day at 6PM KST. The soundtrack contains the score music used in "What is your B?", which was released as a concept story film for their second mini album.[19]
On June 23, a source from MYSTIC STORY shared that Billlie would be releasing a song through Yoon Jong Shin's new music project in mid-July.[20] The song, a remake of Yoon's song "Track by Yoon: Patbingsu", was released on July 14.

On August 7, 2022, MYSTIC STORY confirmed reports that Billlie is preparing for a comeback with their third mini album, The Billage of Perception : Chapter Two, on August 31.[21]
On September 8, it was announced that Billlie would be releasing their second OST album, The Billage of Perception : Chapter Two Original Soundtrack from "The End of the World and the Awakening", on the same day at 6PM KST. The soundtrack contains the score music used in "The End of the World and the Awakening", which was released as a concept story film for their third mini album.[22]
On October 13, it was announced that Billlie would be holding their first online XR concert "Billlie 1st Online XR Concert [the interlude of 11]" to commemorate their 1-year debut anniversary on November 11 and 12.[23]
2023: The Billage of Perception : Chapter Three, first music show win, Japanese debut, Sua's hiatus and return, Suhyeon's hiatus, Sua's second hiatus, "BYOB (Bring Your Own Best Friend)", "Side-B : Memoirs of Echo Unseen", "'The Billlie's Odditorium' The First Edition"

On February 7, 2023, OSEN reported that Billlie would be making a comeback in March with their fourth mini album. That same day, it was confirmed by Mystic Story.[24][25] On March 6, it was announced that they would be releasing their fourth mini album The Billage of Perception : Chapter Three on March 28.[26] On April 4, the group received their first-ever music show win on The Show for "Eunoia."[27]
On March 24, the group's Japanese Twitter announced that they would be making their Japanese debut with the single "GingaMingaYo (the strange world) -Japanese ver.-" on May 17.[28]

On April 24, MYSTIC STORY announced that following the passing of her brother Moon Bin, member Moon Sua would enter a hiatus period for Billlie's immediate future activities, beginning with promotions for their first Japanese single.[29][30]
On June 12, it was announced that Moon Sua will resume her activities, starting with this week’s “Show Champion” live broadcast.[31]

On June 15, MYSTIC STORY released a statement and revealed that Suhyeon will be taking a break from activities due to health reasons.[32]
On September 12, MYSTIC STORY then announced that Moon Sua would be going on hiatus due to health concerns. Billlie will then be promoting as five members until Suhyeon and Sua comes back.[33]
On September 18, it was announced that Billlie would be releasing a new album in October.[34] On September 23, it was announced that they will be releasing their first single album "Side-B : Memoirs of Echo Unseen" on October 23. They also will be pre-release "BYOB (Bring Your Own Best Friend)" on September 27.[35]
On November 22, the group released a teaser announcing that they will be releasing their third digital single "'The Billlie's Odditorium' The First Edition" on November 27.[36]

On December 22, 2023, it was announced that the group will be releasing their first Japanese mini album Knock-on Effect on February 7, 2024.[37]
On January 1, the group released a teaser announcing that they will be releasing their fourth digital single "'The Billlie's Odditorium' The Second Edition" on January 2.[38]

On February 9, the group held their second Japanese showcase concert Billlie Show-Con "Domino Effect" in Japan in Tokyo.[39]
On April 12, it was announced that Moon Sua and Suhyeon would be returning from their hiatus.[40]
On May 5, they held their first fan concert Billlie The First Fan-Con 'Your B, I'm B (Belllie've You)' at Myunghwa Live Hall.
On May 27, Billlie announced they will be embarking on their first world tour, beginning with a European leg visiting nine different cities.[41]
On June 5, it was revealed that the second leg of the tour, which will take place in Grand America, will occur between November and December, with specific dates still to be announced.[42]
On September 26, it was announced that the group will return with a new album in October.[43] On October 2, it was announced that they will be releasing their fifth mini album Appendix: Of All We Have Lost on October 16. "Trampoline" will be pre-released on October 11.[44]
2025: Moon Sua X Siyoon debut
On April 1, 2025, it was announced that members Moon Sua and Siyoon will debut as the unit Moon Sua X Siyoon, on April 7 with the single "Snap".[45][46]
