Aran (아란) is a South Korean singer under Massive E&C. She is a member of the pre-debut girl group ablume and former maknae of the girl group FIFTY FIFTY.
Career
2022–2023: FIFTY FIFTY, departure and lawsuit against ATTRAKT
On November 14, 2022, Aran was introduced as a member of FIFTY FIFTY through the group's music video for their pre-release song "Lovin' Me".[1] The next day, she was individually revealed.[2]
FIFTY FIFTY officially debuted on November 18 with their first mini album, titled The Fifty.[3][4]
On August 17, 2023, FIFTY FIFTY's legal representative, the law firm Barun, announced that the group filed a criminal complaint against ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon for "violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (breach of trust)."[5] On October 23, it was announced that ATTRAKT has terminated their exclusive contracts with members Saena, Sio and Aran as of October 19.[6] The first trial will be held on August 29, 2024.[7]
2024: New agency, ablume
On August 11, 2024, it has been reported that Aran, with the two other former FIFTY FIFTY members, Saena and Sio, have signed with Massive E&C, a newly-launched subsidiary of IOK Company. Their activities as a new "global" idol group would begin at the second half of the year. [8]
On October 15, it was revealed that they would make their debut as a trio, under the name ablume.[9]
On December 19, it was reported that the group has the goal to debut in the first half of 2025.[10] While preparing for their debut, ablume stared their activities by releasing covers on SNS. Aran's cover of "City of Stars" from La La Land (2016) surpassed 1 million views within a day of release and received a good response.[10]

- She is also inspired by Ariana Grande as she gains her confidence from the way she freely sings.[13]

- She wanted to be an idol because she wanted to be more free on stage than anyone else.[14]
