Say Hello! We are 24kumi!

—24kumi

24kumi (24組) was a pre-debut boy group under YX LABELS.

History

2023: Formation

Hikaru and Gaku were contestants on HYBE Labels Japan's survival show &AUDITION - The Howling - but did not make the final debut lineup. Through videos uploaded to HYBE LABELS+ YouTube channel, it was revealed that Gaku and Hikaru were in the final stages for preparing to debut in a future group.[1]

On September 24, 2023, HYBE Labels Japan[n 1] announced their upcoming boy group through the opening of their official SNS accounts on various platforms under the tentative name 24kumi (24組).[2] The first three members were revealed to be Gaku, Hikaru and Kyosuke.[1][3]

On October 12, it was announced that Hikaru would be changing his stage name to Haku.[4]

On October 24, the members Kaiji and Reo were revealed through Twitter,[5][6] followed by Ruka on November 24,[7] and Shin and Yuju on December 24.[8][9]

24kumi suddenly went inactive by mid 2024. In early 2025, the group's official SNS accounts were rebranded into "Oen-High"[n 2], hinting at 24kumi's disbandment.
