Ryze is a lean young man with purple eyes and orange hair.

Ryze appears to be one of a straightforward personality.
History
Ryze paired up with his sister Laina to make a living as adventurers at Axel, and was later approached by Megumin who hoped to join their party. Despite initially thrilled at having a powerful Crimson Demon mage, he soon became disillusioned when a simple test quest against Chestnut Rats ended up with the crops they were supposed to defend razed by Megumin's Explosion. After discovering that the accordingly immobile mage could only cast that one overpowered spell, Ryze and Laina declined having Megumin join them.[1]

Ryze is proficient at fighting with sword and shield.
