Zhang Song (onyomi: Chō Shō) was a servant of Liu Zhang. Although he was not an attractive man, he had a very brilliant mind. He despised Liu Zhang and attempted to hand Yi Province over to Cao Cao, but met Liu Bei and became fascinated with him. He handed him a map of Shu and told him that he should try to conquer Yi Province. Fa Zheng and Zhang Song's betrayal was discovered and, while Fa Zheng left to join Liu Bei, Zhang Song was executed.
Role in Games
In Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2, Zhang Song will be in an isolated part of the map, and must be approached for him to fully surrender. Once he meets the player, he will hand them the map of Chengdu, exposing all the hidden paths of the stage.
Should the player take too long to reach him, Zhang Ren will sense the betrayal and eliminate Zhang Song's unit.
