The Marching Drum (鼓舞太鼓, Kobu Daiko, lit. Inspiring Great Drum) is another new item introduced in Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends. What it does is increase the amount of morale the user's troops gain. The effectiveness of this item depends on the amount of allies the player has on their side. Obviously enough, friendly units benefit from the tremendous boost of morale which helps them fight more efficiently. Therefore, players are encouraged to raise as much morale as they can to make good use of the Marching Drum. By contrast, it's not as effective when equipped during solo missions like Guan Yu's Escape. In Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends, this item is referred to as the War Drum.
How to Unlock
- Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends: The Nanman Campaign; Yellow Turban Forces; Defeat Zhuge Liang when he appears with reinforcements.
- Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends: Nanman Warfare; Legend Mode; Eliminate every enemy check point while keeping the only allied check point safe.
