Historical Information
Jiao Yi joined his lord when he rebelled at Shouchun in 257. As the rebellion wore on, and supplies plummeted, Jiao Yi and Jiang Ban suggested that they concentrate an attack through one of Shouchun's gates to break the siege. Wen Qin, who still did not know that Sun Chen had already withdrawn, advised against doing so, thinking that Wu reinforcements would eventually arrive.
After the refusal of their tactic, Jiao and Jiang overheard Zhuge Dan stating that he was tempted to kill the two. Fearing for their lives, the two men took their troops, and surrendered to Sima Zhao.
