Humans or Humanity is the umbrella term referring to the collective whole of the human species regardless of race or political affiliation. Humans in the Knight Run series are now beyond the Homo sapiens sapiens category as they have now transitioned to be a spaceborne species - evolving in a technological, cultural, and political dimension to adapt to the extreme conditions of outer space. Humanity in the series is all-encompassing which includes individuals that possess superhuman enhancements and Paranormal Powers, transhuman beings, homunculi, genetically modified humans, designer babies, clones, cyborgs, and others.
History

Humans left their original home world to colonize celestial bodies which are then referred to generally as "Human Worlds". This led to the start of the Cosmic Century and ushered in a new chapter in human history known as the Space Age. This era encompassed the eventual shift of humanity from being Earth-centric to a true inter-galactic spacefaring species flourishing in a universal Golden Age of Humanity wherein many great technologies were invented.
Although the zenith of humanity's progress was a prosperous time, humans' inherent martial culture meant that warfare still continued and advanced as well - in fact it may be even said that conflict catalyzed such progresses. Eventually, conflict erupted due to the dominating Earth Faction which claims supremacy over humans who have left the home world. An independence war for recognition of equal rights and self-rule of other human worlds soon turned into the Human Civil War. The spaceborne humans formed their own factions such as the Neoanthropinae Revolutionary Alliance (NRA), Ruin, Human Alliance, and Innovation Empire.
Fighting still persisted until the eventual rise of high rank beasts which ushered in the start of the Great War and a new era revolving around humanity's survival in the Human-Beast conflict.
By CC 430, a premature declaration of the Age of Humans turned disastrous when the capital Arin was taken over by Beast Queen E-34 leading to the collapse of the Absolute Defense Line.
