Dark Sea of Tears is the altered version of the Sea of Tears when Leorina had used the Elements of the four kingdoms to reveal the Bell of Sorrow, which was hidden in the statue on the central island. As its name implies, the Sea of Tears is now completely dark, and Klonoa needs to use a new kind of enemy, Flolo, to light his way through the darkness to reach Leorina. Following the first cave section, a new ever-present threat appears in the form of Greeps, which will attack Klonoa after a short while if he doesn't have any light.
