Flapper is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Dream Land.
Physical Appearance
Flapper is a black, small-bodied bat that has large wings, piercing yellow eyes, and ears with pink insides.
In Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Flapper has a bigger, rounder body and more intimidating yellow eyes.
Games
Kirby's Dream Land
Flapper appears in Castle Lololo. It flies around in set patterns trying to hit Kirby.
Kirby's Pinball Land
Flapper appears in Kracko Land, being released by Kracko, and flies around the area wildly in pursuit of Kirby.
Kirby's Dream Course
Flapper acts as an ally who appears at night, and, like Bronto Burt, helps Kirby get back on the course whenever he goes out of bounds.

In the episode Escargoon Squad, a group of six Flappers flies in King Dedede's window and promptly flies back out, leaving Dedede terrified.
Etymology
Flapper's name is derived from the word "flap," referencing the fact that it flies around by flapping its wings.
Trivia
- Of all the bat enemies in the Kirby series, Flapper is the only one whose name is not a play on or corruption of the word "bat."
- Flapper was originally going to reappear in Kid Kirby, though the game was canceled.[1]
