Physical Appearance

Awasuki is a tiny orange fish with shiny eyes similar to Kirby's. Its tail fin and dorsal fin are both a reddish color.

Games

Kirby Mass Attack

Awasuki appears exclusively in Stage 10 of Green Grounds and Stage 5 of Dedede Resort. It is a passive enemy; it cannot damage Kirby or be defeated. It sleeps holding an air bubble, but when the Kirbys approach it, the fish wakes up and flees. After a brief chase, the enemy darts off-screen. The Kirbys can take Awasuki’s air bubble if they reach it before the foe escapes.

Similar-looking fish appear in Stage 5 of Dedede Resort as well, but they are not related to Awasuki in any way.^[1]

Etymology

Awa has a double meaning: it can refer to bubbles, which surrounds the fish, and also is a sound effect for being panicky, referencing how they flee from the Kirbys.
