Battle 217 is also called "After Struggling Through"
Summary
Kaku attacked Kenichi with his strongest move, Raisei. Kenichi thought he was going to die until he remembered a night of training with Ma. Kenichi was trying to break a pot that he believed had a nude picture of Miu in it, but Ma keeps pulling it away with a fishing rod and Kenichi can't lift his arms up after Ma swung the pot at him so many times. As Ma swung the pot at Kenichi again as he steps back, Kenichi moves puts his palm up. The pot breaks, but the picture has Tochumaru covering Miu's body.
In the present, Kenichi pushes Kaku back with a palm wave. Kaku was pushed back into the wall of a house on stage and knocked out. Kenichi was declared the winner as the Shinpaku Alliance ran over to congratulate him. Ma knew explained to everyone that Kenichi finally understood the meaning of Taiho, which was like Kaku being attacked by a pole stuck in the ground. Before losing consciousness, Kaku envied Kenichi winning and being surround by friends and thought that if he followed Ma maybe would train with Kenichi.
Kaku woke up in the infirmary and bandaged while sitting next to Chou and Yo who are also wounded in bed. Kaku was willing to take responsibility of punishment from the elder of their clan, but Chou and Yo would never let him go alone. Ma then entered the room to tell them they can't go back to the Black Tiger White Dragon Alliance or they'll die. He then hands Kaku a contract that would have him and his friends protected from anyone in China that's part of the Phoenix Alliance. Kaku complained about being pitied again, but Ma scolded him to get stronger and calm down before seeing him again. Yo cried and reminded Kaku that he and Chou would stick with him no matter what, but Kaku went back to sleep thinking it was just another bad joke.
