Episode 96

Episode 96 is the ninety sixth episode of Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon (Webtoon).

Synopsis

A few things were needed to activate a spell. An incantation, a sometic (hand movement)... ...and mana caluculation to determine the flow of mana. Higher mastery allowed one to shorten their incantations. However, all three requirements must be met to activate a spell. Using that knowledge, the 12 mages... continuously attacked Gaster, effectively stopping him from casting and spells. Gaster thought the mages were showering him with weak spells again, they're trying to see who got tired first... A mage said come forth, bladed wind... give power to the northern gust... Another mage said ...that rises from a harsh land... The mages shouted ...glacial whirlwind... ...Blizzard Storm. A moment of confusion flashed across Gaster's face. Gaster thought an Eighth Circle glacial spell, the mages were buying time to prepare this spell, crap, he can block it, but he doesn't have enough time for the incantation, on top of that, he still have to deflect all of their weaker spells. Gaster immediately responded by withdrawing his shield. Gaster shouted envelop him, power of mana, Arc Field Double Spell. A brilliant light began to surround Gaster. The stream of light instantly became several times thicker. The dark sky glowed a soft white. The stationary air flow gradually increased its movement, and white crystals condensed one by one in the air. The moment when the movement of the air gained momentum and white crystals caught up in the flow and blew in all directions. Whoosh. The gentle flow suddenly became a torrent and began to cover the sky with an ear-piercing sound. A storm of pure white crystals immediately attacked Gaster. The mages of the empire laughed with joy. Gaster continued to hold his head and frown and replied oww his head... Pluto can't be any nicer, he risked his life to come save him. Pluto asked curiously that why Gaster is gripping his head, there's a problem. Gaster answered that no, he doesn't worry, it's just a side effect from casting spells one after another. Gaster laughed and said he'll be able to use magic again in about ten minutes. Pluto said in other words... Gaster can't use magic for the next ten minutes. Gaster said wow, Pluto is smarter than he thought. The flame split and a silver glow suppressed the heat. The vortex of suppressed fire split long and opened a path. Meanwhile, the swordman appeared again. Largo said just what he'd expect from an archmage, not even 12 Masters managed to stop Gaster, huh. Gaster said Pluto... fought against that? The Storm Bringer is quite something. Pluto said he wouldn't have struggled if Largo was such an easy enemy. Largo smirked and said Archmage Gaster, he, too, admire his skills. Largo raised Storm Bringer high and shouted loudly that however, he has the dragon's power with him, now, he shall avenge the imperial soildiers that he killed. Pluto asked any ideas, Gaster. Gaster answered he told Pluto he can't use magic roght now, he think of something. Pluto said he can't believe he has to die with an old, perverted Archmage... Gaster shouted hey, Pluto should watch his mouth, he came to rescue him. At that moment, a silver flash suddenly flew through the air from above the cliff and struck Largo. It was a blow that was so sudden that Largo had no choice but to hit it squarely. Largo morned guh... Pluto was surprised and shouted this must be... A cry close to a scream came from the mouths of the imperial soldiers that l-look up there, he could be... ...Darios fon Goldbruf... ...the Dragon Slayer.

Largo drew Storm Bringer and aimed it at Darios and shouted ...but fine, he forgive his impertinence, he is Largo, the Warrior King and the strongest man in the empire, he sweared by his sword that he will engage him in a fair duel. Darios also pulled out his favorite sword, Moon Alstad, and shouted loudly that he is Karsel's Silver Knight Darios... ...also called a Dragon Slayer, he shall face Largo's sword to determine the victor.
