Hajime Hiroi (廣井 始, Hiroi Hajime) is a young boy who found Shoma washed up on the beach shore.
History
When a seemingly dead Shoma showed up on a beach shore, Hajime checked to see whether he was dead or not. Later that day, Hajime showed Shoma his secret base and gave him snacks. On his way home to see his mother who returned from an overseas business trip, he passed by a mysterious man who pursued him. As he was about to get attacked, Shoma dashed and pushed him out of the way, protecting him from the Hound Granute until Hajime was found and forcibly dragged away from the battle by his terrified mother, who mistook Shoma’s Rider form as a monster. Shoma later wrote a thank-you letter to him and told him in the note he would try his best to blend in with humans, with Hajime being disappointed that he had left evidence behind and tore the note up to protect his friend.
When Hanto wanted to investigate the previous battle of the two monsters, he questioned Hajime and his mother, but Hajime played dumb and refused to give any details to protect Shoma.
