S.P.L.A.T.

Splat voltage dragon

S.P.L.A.T. is an organization that appears in World of JumpStart.

Description

The S.P.L.A.T. organization is made up of Jumpeez who aspire to keep the JumpStart world fun and friendly, and thwart those set out to cause mischief and harm. When trouble arises, S.P.L.A.T. will send out alerts and assign S.P.L.A.T. missions to Jumpeez. The identities of the top agents at S.P.L.A.T. are hidden, so messages and clues are sent out via S.P.L.A.T.T.E.R (Secret Protection League Against Troublemakers Transmit Email Robotically).

The S.P.L.A.T. acronym can stand for either "Special Protection League Against Troublemakers" or "Secret Protection League Against Troublemakers" (both have been used interchangeably).

History

S.P.L.A.T. was first formed in 1900, in response to Punk-Punks running loose and causing problems all over JumpStart, which came to be known as "The Punk Punk Fiasco of 1900". The efforts of the S.P.L.A.T. members lead to the Punk-Punks being contained in AdventureLand and MarineLand, restoring peace to the rest of JumpStart.

In 2010, S.P.L.A.T. was called back into action to deal with the mischievous sorcerer Tangorra and stop his plans of abducting Voltage Dragons, the source of JumpStart's energy.

Missions

Splat map piece

S.P.L.A.T. missions occur annually in August. The player will automatically receive a message via S.P.L.A.T.T.E.R., and a S.P.L.A.T.T.E.R. icon will appear on the player's screen. This icon can be used to check on the current mission. The missions instruct the player to find map pieces located in various areas of the JumpStart World. There are a total of seven map pieces to find, and they reveal the location of the Voltage Dragon egg nest, so the player can reach it before Tangorra does.

Once the player has collected enough map pieces, they must put the pieces of the map together. The map will depict an area of the JumpStart world, and an X marking the spot where the egg nest is. If the player goes to that location, there will be a red X visible on the ground. Walking over the X will transport the player to the Voltage Dragon egg nest, which contains many eggs. The player can choose any egg, and afterwards, all of the rest of the eggs will disappear. Members are rewarded with a Voltage Dragon egg that hatches into a Voltage Dragon that can be raised. Non-members receive an alternative reward, such as JumpStart Coins or a Pet resembling a Voltage Dragon.
